There is one component in the customization process which is absolutely fundamental for the right tolerances, repeatability and operational reliability:the clamping fixture. IMAS clamping fixture designs take all the main variables and needs into account, i.e.:

  • workpiece morphology and material;
  • raw part tolerances and reference surfaces;
  • type of machinings to be carried out;
  • minimization of deformations coming from the clamping forces;
  • ease of positioning.


Thanks to 3D graphics our proposals can be understood immediately and intuitively

IMAS designs and produces positioning devices for loading the workpiece onto the machine without the operator having to make complex and tiring movements.
The techniques used by IMAS to check for workpiece deformation caused by clamping forces are part of the most advanced system available on the market for computerized simulation through the Finite Elements Method (FEM). The result is over 90% correspondence between the theoretical and the real situation.
